Weekend just gone, I went to Paris as part of the team for Corinne Bailey-Rae’s video shoot, for her new single ‘Paris Nights, New York Mornings’. We shot all over the French capital, so even though I was working, it felt like a mini adventure from 7am to 9pm. The photo I took above was on the Pont des Arts bridge, just as the sun was rising. The music video was directed by Charles Mehling (www.charlesmehling.com) who has worked with many, including Stereophonics, Kasabian and The Script. His style is very photographic and dream-like, bordering along the lines of surrealism once the video has been through post-production.
