Talented director and friend Tim Brown has directed the new Big Pink Video 'Hit The Ground (Superman)'. Quirky situations and props used, as always, Mr Brown conveys the 'feel' of this song perfectly with friends hanging out, having fun. Listen to the infectious song here.
This summer I have been busy in meetings with the Art Director at Jack Wills and Aubin & Wills. From this month on, I will be freelance consulting for both Jack Wills and Aubin & Wills which means across the board on the womenswear, menswear, web, lookbooks, campaigns, fashion films and store aesthetics. I will also be working alongside the designers with research here in London and abroad. Looking forward to seeing where this brand is going.
So it was the MVAs again this month and it was happy times amongst my friends and I. I was actually holidaying in Italy so couldn't post until I got back, but the boys at Us won Best New Directors this year and Best Urban for Wiley's 'Numbers In Action'. Our video we shot for Dels' 'Trumpalump' also made an appearance as nominee for Best Urban Budget, as did Dels' 'Capsize' from Chloe Hayward. Exciting times are ahead, we can all feel it - all the hard work over the years is becoming more and more apparent that it was worth the slog and budgeting like crazy. Well done Luke and Chris!
In July this year, I went to Paris and Lisbon to shoot the new David Guetta ft. Usher music video 'Without You'. In Paris we shot on green-screen with guest visitor Jamie Foxx and then in Lisbon we shot on the beach for almost 24hours and we had 160 extras to style. It was the most manic shoot ever, coupled with being in a foreign country and 4 assistants that spoke mostly Portuguese, but it was also lots of fun. Watch the music video here, it's just been released.
One hot day in July, in a small studio in Clerkenwell, we managed to green-screen Dels for his newest video. As cramped as we were, Dels was a trooper and performed his heart out as usual and I'm sure the video will look great after post. Chloe promises me great things during post. Massive thanks for Macandi PR lending at such short notice as well.
Oliver and Patrick from UniformWares asked me to style their new watch release for this summer. I have always loved the brand and have used their watches for various shoots beforehand, so it was a pleasure to work on their newest range for the advertising campaign. I'm super pleased with the results so hopefully they will be out soon for all to see. In the mean time, grab yourself a beautifully designed timepiece by the boys at UniformWares.
Welcome to the new website. It was about time to have a change! I hope you all like the new design, and hopefully it's easier to navigate and also clearer to see all the different shoots I have been working on. Thanks to the boys at Us once again, and new online platform Fabrik - check it out!
Late last year, Paul Calver asked me to style a music video for a new artist. Steffi here (left) AKA Josa Peit, teamed up with Ben Lamdin from Nostalgia77 for a beautiful, sparkling song, with a great video to boot. The colours we used were muted and light to give that ethereal feel which is how we felt the song should be visualised, shot on the South Coast of England on a very blustery day. Watch the music video here.

Last year, I assisted Karl Templer in London on a shoot for Interview Magazine. I almost forgot it had only just been released last month and flicking through the pages reminded me of the long 4 days of prepping and shooting, but what we captured on the day was beautiful. Mert and Marcus shot six models set in 70s Shanghai crossed with opium dens of the 20s and girl on girl action; this shoot in the basement of a London club made me dizzy with excitement (or exhaustion). To see the full shoot, go to Interview Magazine.
The long awaited 3rd installment from our good friend and talented artist DELS is here. I worked with the boys at Us once again for DELS’ single GOB which is also the title of the debut album, dropping May 9th. Very proud to work as part of the dream team, watch the official music video here and try to make it down to the launch party happening in April here. If you want to see some funny out-takes, check out the Behind The Scenes.
P.S Thanks boys for the plug in Volume Magazine, see their interview here.
