twenty twelve.

Welcome to the New Year.  I must admit I haven't been very good at keeping the website up to date in 2011.  It has been a crazy year and many projects have happened without being noted.  As a loose New Years Resolution, I am hoping to load my work up fully up to date and perhaps get on this Tumblr trend with thoughts, inspiration and general day-to-dayness with photos from my phone and my many cameras I have acquired over the years.  More resolutions will follow, but for now, I will leave you with the wise words of George Eliot.  Here's to Twenty Twelve.

the christmas spirit.

When the days were hot earlier this year, I was assisting on the Espirit Christmas Campaign 2011 with Camille Bildault Waddington.  Shot by the lovely Paul Wetherell, we spent a whole week prepping and shooting the campaign with many models coming in and out.  The kids were especially entertaining and the pictures did indeed look great, so it was to my suprise I had forgotten all about it till I was on the tube and came across this massive banner.  Then came all the buses with the advert plastered all over.  What's your wish for Christmas?

working out with wiley.

Trying to fit in as many shoots before Christmas and this one was super fun!  Wiley's new music video 'Boom Blast'.  The cast were kitted out in Nike, including Wiley himself who were all complete stars for the day and not once complained about the amount of exercise we put them through, and boy did they sweat!  Can't wait to see the results, always reminds me of Christmas morning when you shoot on green-screen, you never quite know what to expect!  Here's a picture of the boys hard at work.

look now at looklab.

More recently, LookLab have asked me to be a part of their ever-growing network of 'Fashion Insiders', giving fashion tips to their members.  It's a refreshing new idea from NYC and will cover all the fashion capitals of the world in time.  It's fun to use and I am happy to be a part of this global styling team.  Check out LookLab to see what it's all about, and their blog; LookBlab which have a couple of features on yours truly.

hit the ground running.

Talented director and friend Tim Brown has directed the new Big Pink Video 'Hit The Ground (Superman)'.  Quirky situations and props used, as always, Mr Brown conveys the 'feel' of this song perfectly with friends hanging out, having fun.  Listen to the infectious song here.

hello jack.

This summer I have been busy in meetings with the Art Director at Jack Wills and Aubin & Wills.  From this month on, I will be freelance consulting for both Jack Wills and Aubin & Wills which means across the board on the womenswear, menswear, web, lookbooks, campaigns, fashion films and store aesthetics.  I will also be working alongside the designers with research here in London and abroad.  Looking forward to seeing where this brand is going.

uk music video awards.

So it was the MVAs again this month and it was happy times amongst my friends and I.  I was actually holidaying in Italy so couldn't post until I got back, but the boys at Us won Best New Directors this year and Best Urban for Wiley's 'Numbers In Action'.  Our video we shot for Dels' 'Trumpalump' also made an appearance as nominee for Best Urban Budget, as did Dels' 'Capsize' from Chloe Hayward.  Exciting times are ahead, we can all feel it - all the hard work over the years is becoming more and more apparent that it was worth the slog and budgeting like crazy.  Well done Luke and Chris!

lisbon memories.

In July this year, I went to Paris and Lisbon to shoot the new David Guetta ft. Usher music video 'Without You'.  In Paris we shot on green-screen with guest visitor Jamie Foxx and then in Lisbon we shot on the beach for almost 24hours and we had 160 extras to style.  It was the most manic shoot ever, coupled with being in a foreign country and 4 assistants that spoke mostly Portuguese, but it was also lots of fun.  Watch the music video here, it's just been released.

rooting for dels.

One hot day in July, in a small studio in Clerkenwell, we managed to green-screen Dels for his newest video.  As cramped as we were, Dels was a trooper and performed his heart out as usual and I'm sure the video will look great after post.  Chloe promises me great things during post.  Massive thanks for Macandi PR lending at such short notice as well.

watch this.

Oliver and Patrick from UniformWares asked me to style their new watch release for this summer.  I have always loved the brand and have used their watches for various shoots beforehand, so it was a pleasure to work on their newest range for the advertising campaign.  I'm super pleased with the results so hopefully they will be out soon for all to see.  In the mean time, grab yourself a beautifully designed timepiece by the boys at UniformWares.
